As we work to get through these unprecedented times together, your health and safety are important to me. CDC guidelines have always been adhered to and now the new recommendations will be added. The following Operating Procedures and Precautions will be in place until further notice.
The acupuncturist's treatment space is kept clean and sanitary with regularly scheduled cleaning and decontamination.
A sink with hot and cold running water is located near the treatment rooms. Liquid soap and paper towels are available at hand washing stations. Alcohol-based hand sanitizer is also available.
Any covering on a treatment table and any towel, cloth sheet, pillowcase, or other article that contacts the patient's skin is cleaned and is not used in connection with another patient unless laundered before reuse.
The treatment room tables and working surfaces are cleaned with a suitable disinfectant between each patient and whenever visibly contaminated.
All reusable medical and AOM equipment are disinfected between use on patients per CDC guidelines.
Additional COVID-19 Operating Procedures:
Common/Waiting Areas Will Not Be Used. Patients will be required to text or call from the parking lot when they have arrived for their appointment. Patients must wait in their cars until allowed to enter the building. Patients are also required to come alone to their appointment, except parents accompanying their child to the child's appointment or a patient who requires a caregiver during treatment. Drivers and other friends/family should remain in their vehicles.
Patient Screening is Required. All patients will be verbally screened for symptoms of illness prior to clinic entry. Masks are optional for patients, Practitioners will wear masks at all times.
Social Distancing is Required. Patients will remain at least 6 ft apart from practioner and employees except during the actual acupuncture treatment. Rescheduling and checkout will take place in the treatment room to eliminate contact with others in the clinic.
